This competition has now closed! 'Spirit of the Sea' The Chesil Bank and the Fleet Nature Reserve has held a photographic competition with the theme for 2011 of 'The Spirit of the Sea'. This competition was in support of the Spirit of the Sea maritime festival. RULES Theme: ‘Spirit of the Sea’. Photographs must have been taken between White Nothe and Abbotsbury Categories: Open, Junior & Underwater. Entry is free and open to all amateur photographers but limited to three images per category. Photos must be the entrants own original work. Closing date: Tuesday 12 July 2011. Photographs must be submitted digitally by email to photocomp@chesilbeach.org with the entrants name, phone number & address, the date & location that the picture was taken & category entered. ‘Juniors’ must be aged 15 or younger on 1 July 2011 and include their date of birth and confirmation that they enter with the approval of a parent or guardian. Images shall be submitted as ‘jpegs’ with a maximum file size of 400kb & not greater in size than 1024px by 768px high at 72dpi. Winners and those selected for display may be asked for larger file sizes for display. Basic enhancement is accepted but manipulation must not involve any change or addition to the iage. The photographer retains all publication rights on submitted photographs. However, by submitting an image to the Chesil Bank & the Fleet Nature Reserve ‘Spirit of the Sea' photographic competition they automatically pass to the Reserve rights to publish, free of all charges, their image on any website associated with the competition, and in any exhibition or other media, including broadcast and newspaper media, which specifically seeks to portray the results of the competition. The judges' decision is final. No correspondence can be entered into. Winner’s names and entries with a selection of the photographs entered will be published on the websites of Chesil Beach Centre www.chesilbeach.org & Spirit of the Sea www.spiritofthesea.com. |
