9th March- Wintering birds of the Fleet
Meet at Fleet old church at 1:30pm for a walk around Butterstreet Cove and beyond. Adults £3, children £2.

Scavenger walk

15th March - Fleet foreshore Spring Clean
Come and help us clear up all the litter carried up the Fleet by winter storms. Full details to be announced nearer the day. To get involved contact the Chesil Beach Centre (01305) 760579. Event will take place between 10am and noon and there will be a number of collection points.

Fossil walk 22nd March - Fossil hunt
A fossil walk around Tidmoor Point. Ammonites a speciality! Meet on the main road (B3157) by Tidmoor Farm House at 2pm. Wear wellies or walking boots, there is plenty of soft clay. Adults £3, children £2.

Fleet Observer

Fleet Observer
It is hoped to get the Fleet Observer back in the water after its winter refit in time for Easter. This will depend on weather and other factors.

Information on all events is available from the Chesil Beach Visitors Centre, open 10am-4pm. 01305 760579

The Centre is located at NGR SY668755 on the car park south of Ferrybridge.

Please note that all events are subject to change. Please contact the Visitors Centre beforehand to ensure the event is still as planned. On the day, the event may be cancelled due to inclement weather or insufficient attendance.
Tidmoor Point, better known perhaps as Chickerell Rifle Range, usually yields a number of ammonites and other fossils. At this time of year after the winter rains it is likely that there will be a good number of finds.
